Watercolor 101 Workshop #1 June 13th

WATERCOLOR 101 WORKSHOP

**Thursday, June 13th 6:00-8:30PM (or a bit longer depending on skill level, please arrive at 5:50 to get situated please)

*What we will learn  & do: This is a workshop geared toward learning watercolor painting basics through Julie's teaching, showing samples & demonstrating basic techniques. Julie will talk about Paint, Brushes, Papers, & other supplies as well as tips & techniques for starting to paint with Watercolor. You will learn some basic Color Theory. 

*You will leave with a 6 page Watercolor 101 Guide Julie created that  summarizes everything that she will be covering in the class.                                                         

*Along the way, you will be doing several small exercises that include:

• Make a Color Wheel, A Palette Sample, A Value Scale & A Neutral Sample
• Try Wet on Wet & Other Brush Techniques
• Do Texture Manipulating Technique Exercise
• Do a Leaf./Flower Practice project
• Receive a take home Floral Wreath Template for an "on your own" Make at Home project.

*You WILL NOT leave with a framable project as this is a beginner class to learn HOW TO best start watercolor painting. This will be a sounding board for future Watercolor Classes.

**Beginner Level

**Feel free to bring a beverage of choice (wine or other cocktail) is welcome
